Partnering with shelters to build
safer rehoming journeys
HomeWagger works alongside shelters and rescues to help prevent avoidable relinquishment, improve responsible rehoming pathways and support clearer, welfare-led decision-making.
From early owner support and public signposting to structured adopter screening, controlled communication and rehoming workflow tools, HomeWagger is being developed as a long-term partner for organisations protecting dogs.
How HomeWagger can support your organisation
- Help owners find credible support before surrender becomes unavoidable
- Provide safer, structured pathways for different rehoming circumstances
- Review adopter profiles and Expressions of Interest before progressing enquiries
- Keep listings, communication and rehoming activity organised through a clearer shared workflow
- Support stronger records, greater consistency and welfare-led organisational practice
We are partnering with a small number of shelters and rescues to shape HomeWagger through practical use, structured feedback and ongoing collaboration.
Founding Partners receive guided onboarding, direct access to the HomeWagger team, opportunities to influence future development and priority support throughout the programme.
Places are intentionally limited so we can work closely with every organisation.

No commitment during onboarding. Places are limited so support can remain personal, practical and responsive.
A wider approach to supporting rescue organisations
HomeWagger is not only a place to list dogs. It is being developed to support earlier intervention, safer rehoming pathways and stronger day-to-day rescue operations.

Supporting people before situations become emergencies
Many people approach a rescue because they believe surrender is their only remaining option. In some situations, practical help, behaviour support, housing advice, veterinary assistance or specialist signposting may help the dog remain safely at home.
HomeWagger provides public guidance and a curated Support Directory that shelters, professionals and community organisations can share with owners without being expected to deliver every form of support themselves.
💙 Owner-support guidance
Step-by-step guidance helps people understand what is making things difficult and explore realistic options before making a permanent decision.
🧭 Support Directory
A curated directory helps people find credible organisations offering practical, financial, behavioural, housing and specialist support.
🚨 Urgent signposting
Clear routes to emergency and specialist help when human safety, homelessness, domestic abuse or immediate dog welfare is involved.
🐾 Safe rehoming information

Explore HomeWagger SupportResponsible pathways where shelter admission may not be required
Home-to-home rehoming will not be suitable for every dog, every owner or every circumstance. Where it is safe and appropriate, however, a structured pathway may help avoid unnecessary kennel admission while preserving welfare checks, clear records and responsible decision-making.
HomeWagger does not position private rehoming as a replacement for rescue organisations. It provides an additional managed pathway that may sit alongside shelter intake, supported rehoming, referral and owner-retention work.
Not appropriate for every dog
Behaviour, safeguarding, medical needs and the circumstances of the current home must always be considered before choosing a pathway.
Not a shortcut around welfare checks
Responsible rehoming requires accurate information, appropriate assessment, informed decisions and clear expectations for everyone involved.
Clear escalation when needed
Cases involving immediate risk, complex behaviour or serious welfare concerns should be directed towards appropriate rescue, veterinary or specialist support.
Working alongside shelters rather than around them
Rescue organisations bring experience, professional judgement and safeguarding knowledge that cannot be replaced by a digital platform.
HomeWagger is designed to complement that expertise by improving early support, strengthening referral pathways and helping appropriate rehoming activity remain structured and visible.
More than a listing platform
HomeWagger brings together public support, responsible rehoming pathways, partnership working and practical digital tools. Each part supports the same goal: better outcomes for dogs and the people and organisations responsible for them.

Why an EOI-first approach makes a difference
Traditional enquiry processes often require shelters to invest significant time before knowing whether an adopter is likely to be a suitable match. HomeWagger brings key suitability information closer to the beginning of the journey.
Traditional rehoming enquiries
- ❌ High volumes of speculative enquiries
- ❌ Full applications before suitability is clear
- ❌ Long email chains and repeated conversations
- ❌ Late-stage declines after significant staff time
- ❌ Limited visibility of where enquiries stand
Result: More administration and less time available for the dogs that need your attention.
HomeWagger’s EOI-first journey
- ✅ Review Expressions of Interest first
- ✅ See adopter profiles before progressing applications
- ✅ Messaging only opens when you accept an EOI
- ✅ Track each enquiry from interest to outcome
- ✅ Make informed decisions with greater confidence
Result: Earlier suitability checks, clearer workflows and more time focused on successful rehoming.

Shelter FAQs
What is HomeWagger — is it just another listing site?
No. HomeWagger is structured rehoming infrastructure. While you can list dogs, the core value is the guided Expression of Interest (EOI) workflow, controlled messaging, and stage tracking that supports your existing vetting process.
It’s designed to reduce admin noise, surface suitability earlier, and give shelters clearer operational visibility — not just more exposure.
Is HomeWagger a marketplace for shelter dogs?
No. There are no paid boosts, bidding systems, or “first come, first served” dynamics. HomeWagger is welfare-led and suitability-based. Adoption decisions always remain with the shelter.
How does the EOI system reduce admin?
Instead of open-ended enquiries or scattered emails, adopters submit structured Expressions of Interest. Your team can review suitability before progressing to full applications or home checks.
Messaging only opens once you accept an EOI — protecting your inbox and reducing speculative conversations.
Do we still control who adopts?
Absolutely. Your team retains full control over screening, home checks, references, and final decisions. HomeWagger supports your standards — it does not override them.
How does early access work — do we pay upfront?
No — there’s no upfront commitment.
Selected shelters are onboarded first and receive full Pro access during early access. This allows your team to use the platform in real cases before making any decision.
If it works for your team, you can then choose to continue as a Founding Shelter (£19/month) or Early Supporter (£25/month).
If it’s not the right fit, there’s no obligation to continue.
What is the Founding Shelter Circle?
The Founding Shelter Circle is a limited group of 5 shelters within our early access programme. These shelters secure a £19/month lifetime rate after onboarding.
All shelters start with early access first — meaning you’ll use the platform with full Pro features during onboarding before deciding whether to secure a founding place.
Founding rate: £19/month (first month free) or £190/year (save £38).
Is there a free shelter option?
Yes. We offer a Free Shelter tier that allows a limited number of active listings, structured EOIs, and controlled messaging.
This is designed for small or volunteer-led rescues who want to explore the platform before upgrading to Pro tools.
What does Pro include?
Pro includes unlimited listings, workflow tracking, insights, document tools, and additional operational visibility for busy shelter teams.
During early access, these features are available as part of onboarding, so you can experience them before deciding whether to continue.
Standard Pro pricing is £34/month at public launch.
What if we’re not ready yet?
That’s completely fine.
You can join early access when the timing feels right for your team. There’s no pressure to rush — we’re keeping onboarding intentionally small so we can support properly.
If you’re unsure, you can still apply and we’ll let you know honestly whether it’s a good fit right now or better to join slightly later.
Will this replace our website or existing platforms?
No. Many shelters use HomeWagger alongside their website and social channels. It can act as your structured workflow hub while you continue reaching adopters elsewhere.
Do you support small or volunteer-run rescues?
Yes. HomeWagger was built with volunteer-led teams in mind. The platform focuses on clarity, calm screening, and reducing repetitive admin — without requiring complex software or technical expertise.
