These Terms & Conditions / Terms of Use (“Terms”) set out how you may access and use the HomeWagger website and app (together, the “Platform”).
Please read them carefully before using HomeWagger.
By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use HomeWagger.
1. Who We Are
HomeWagger is a welfare-first dog rehoming platform operated by:

References to “we”, “us” or “our” refer to one or both entities as appropriate.
References to “you” and “your” refer to any person accessing or using the Platform.
For data protection purposes, HomeWagger Tech Ltd acts as the primary data controller for the Platform, as explained in our Privacy Notice.
2. What HomeWagger Is (and Is Not)
HomeWagger is a welfare-first platform designed to help adopters, rehomers and shelters connect responsibly to rehome dogs.
We provide tools, guidance and services to support safer and more transparent dog rehoming.
HomeWagger is not:
- A buying or selling marketplace for animals;
- A breeder platform or advertising site for litters;
- A rescue centre;
- A veterinary service; or
- A legal adviser.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
To create an account, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Be capable of entering into legally binding agreements; and
- Provide accurate and truthful information.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity conducted through your account.
You must notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Responsible Use of the Platform
You agree to use HomeWagger lawfully, respectfully and in a welfare-first manner.
You must not:
- Use the Platform to sell dogs or advertise dogs for commercial breeding;
- Post false, misleading or incomplete information;
- Harass, abuse, intimidate or discriminate against others;
- Upload unlawful, harmful or inappropriate content;
- Attempt to obtain dogs for unlawful or harmful purposes;
- Interfere with the security or operation of the Platform; or
- Collect data through automated means without permission.
5. No Selling or Commercial Breeding
HomeWagger is a welfare-first rehoming platform.
You must not:
- Offer dogs for sale through the Platform;
- Advertise commercial breeding operations;
- Advertise litters for sale;
- Promote puppy farming activities; or
- Request or offer payment for dogs other than reasonable adoption fees, rescue fees, or clearly explained contributions toward genuine welfare-related costs.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these principles.
6. Content You Share
You retain ownership of content you upload to HomeWagger.
By submitting content, you grant HomeWagger a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to:
- Store;
- Display;
- Reproduce;
- Share; and
- Process
that content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve and promote the Platform.
You confirm that:
- You have the right to upload the content; and
- The content does not infringe the rights of any third party.
7. Platform Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all intellectual property rights in the Platform, including software, databases, design elements, branding, logos, text, graphics, functionality and technical systems, belong to HomeWagger or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, extract, reproduce or commercially exploit any part of the Platform except where permitted by law or with our prior written permission.
8. Safety, Welfare and Your Own Judgement
We provide tools and guidance to support safer dog rehoming, but we cannot guarantee the behaviour, health, suitability or future conduct of any dog or user.
You remain responsible for your own decisions and should take reasonable steps to satisfy yourself before entering into any adoption, rehoming or related arrangement.
8.1 Verification Disclaimer
HomeWagger may offer identity verification, organisation verification, trust indicators, profile approvals or similar features.
These features are intended to support safer decision-making but do not constitute a guarantee of identity, suitability, honesty, competence, welfare standards or future conduct.
Users remain responsible for exercising their own judgement.
8.2 Adoption and Rehoming Decisions
HomeWagger does not participate in, approve, recommend or guarantee any adoption, fostering, rehoming or placement decision.
Responsibility for assessing suitability and making placement decisions rests entirely with the individuals and organisations involved.
8.3 Independent Organisations
Shelters, rescues, rehomers and other organisations using HomeWagger operate independently.
Their views, policies, decisions and actions are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of HomeWagger.
If you have concerns regarding animal welfare, you should contact an appropriate welfare organisation or authority.
If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services.
9. Pro Memberships and Payments
We may offer optional paid features (“Pro Memberships”).
Pricing, features and billing terms will be displayed within the Platform.
Payments are processed by third-party payment providers and may be subject to separate terms.
Where subscriptions renew automatically, you may cancel future renewals at any time through the Platform or relevant app store settings.
Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except where required by law or where a technical failure on our side prevents access to the paid service.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
Our handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy.
These documents form part of these Terms.
11. Suspending or Ending Your Access
We may suspend, restrict or terminate access to the Platform where we reasonably believe:
- These Terms have been breached;
- Conduct presents a risk to users or animal welfare;
- Fraudulent or unlawful activity has occurred; or
- We are required to do so by law.
11.1 Welfare and Safeguarding Investigations
Where we reasonably believe that animal welfare, safeguarding, fraud prevention, platform security or user safety may be at risk, we may:
- Investigate concerns;
- Request additional information;
- Temporarily restrict access;
- Remove content; or
- Take other reasonable action to protect users, animals and the integrity of the Platform.
12. Availability of the Platform
We aim to keep HomeWagger available and functioning but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.
The Platform may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates or events outside our reasonable control.
13. Our Responsibility to You
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to applicable law, we are not liable for:
- Adoption, fostering or rehoming decisions made by users;
- Interactions between users;
- Indirect or consequential losses;
- Emotional distress;
- Loss of opportunity; or
- User-generated content that we did not create.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may amend these Terms from time to time.
Updated versions will be published on this page together with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Where changes are significant, we may also notify users by email or through the Platform.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
Where applicable, consumers may also have rights to bring claims in their local UK courts.
